The honest trade-off
What you may miss: Mealime’s guided plan flow was fast, and its personalization settings were unusually detailed. Well Stockd starts from the other end, with what is in your kitchen, so the first week takes longer to set up. If you only ever wanted to be told what to cook, Meals Hub is free and is the shorter path.
When you should stay with Mealime
Stay with Mealime if:
- You shop at a Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, ACME or another Albertsons-family store, and Meals Hub inside that app is enough.
- You want to be told what to cook and genuinely do not want to think about what is already in the fridge.
How to move off Mealime
Before you leave Mealime
- Before it closes, check what Mealime lets you keep from your account. Preserve personal notes, plans and favorites you care about; its closing notice says personal data will be deleted.
- Try Meals Hub if you mainly want the familiar Mealime recipes. Mealime says those recipes continue there.
- If you want an inventory-based kitchen, find comparable recipes in Well Stockd and save your own recipes here.
- Stock the fridge, freezer and pantry. Type it in, or read the shelves out loud with voice stocking. This is the part Mealime never had, and it is what makes the catalog filter down to what you can cook tonight.

What does Well Stockd cost after the free month?
